Chickadee
YEARLING
Male
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
The morning before my grandmother died, she was playing with the B litter and picked out the name of her favorite bird. I am always very careful about putting any emotional weight on a dog, as we tend to do too often, to the detriment of our four-legged friends. But sweet boy Chickadee came into the world at a unique time. As he grows into himself, he is proving to be a key player on the team like his brother Druid, and has grown into a reminder of many of the things my grandmother taught me to value. An enthusiasm for life that rivals all, the want to be with his people and family, and an always burning desire to see what lies around the next bend in the trail.

Armada
YEARLING
Female
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
Mada is a love at the kennel, and an absolute demon on the trail. We knew she was going to be something special from a young age, and shes more than proving it. The diva of the team, she’s got a whole lot of spice packed into a tiny package. The more this girl grows into her own, the more it’s clear she has the perfect name. She is not one ship. She is the entire fleet.
-
Percy
LEAD DOG
3 y/o Male
A Litter: Owl Babies (Sike x Windshear)
Our Percy was the mellow, sleepy, and laid back pup of the litter... At least he used to be! That Percy is no longer, and has since been replaced with a speedy, talkitive, and energetic young dog that doesn't have any brakes! When this handsome young fellow manages to wear himself out a bit, he's incredibly sweet and affectionate. The most people oriented of the Owl Babies litter, watching him grow and learn is going to be a real pleasure! -
Druid
YEARLING
Male
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
Steady as she goes. Methodical and intense. This boy was born to be a sled dog. Watching Druid come into his own is truly magic in the making. Head down and ready to go this kid is marching to the beat that only sled dogs can hear, and he’s taking the rest of us along with him! Slower to mature than the other pups, is been well worth the wait to see him eat trail now. He’s a pea in a pod with his brother Chickadee, and nothing stops these boys!

Windshear
LEAD DOG
6y/o Female
With a born talent and coming out of some beautiful Iditarod lead dogs and lines that are tested and more than proven over multiple generations, I knew I was getting something special when I added this girl to the kennel. This tiny natural born leader and phenomenal athlete has not only become one of my best dogs, she also sits atop the team's throne as Matriarch; Mom to both the A and B litters. When she’s not ruling the race trail, she enjoys cuddles and cleaning out underneath your fingernails by nibbling on them. And yep, that’s as cute and odd as it sounds. Keep an eye out for this sleek girl on the trail this season, she’s already established she’s top dog!
-
Sula
YEARLING
Female
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
Sula girl is the doll of the team, and smart as a whip too. Her brain is always working, and always learning. Easily smarter than all of us combined, she lets herself out of the kennel when she wants to play, quickly coming to find us wherever we are, or picking dog to play with. There’s really no question about her being an up and coming leader, she’s already decided that, and we’re just along for the ride!
-
Sarah
LEAD DOG
3y/o Female
A Litter: Owl Babies (Sike x Windshear)
Little Sarah is full of sugar AND spice! I've found this attitude filled girl to be the most oriented towards me, a lot like her dad, Sike. She's incredibly smart, and is a small sponge, fast learning each new task I teach her. I'm very excited to watch her this season and over the next few years as she learns and grows into an adult member of the team! -
Creature
YEARLING
Female
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
noun; An imaginary or fantastical being.
Creature is very aptly named, for a fantastical being she is indeed! She likes to be up high, and it’s not unheard of to find her sitting in a sink, just to sit and be. She is as determined about running fast as she is about making her own decisions, and clearly took all of Auntie Rubicon’s lessons to heart as a young pup. She’s as sweet and affectionate as she is strange and unique, and we are all big Creature fans here!
-
Bear
LEAD DOG
9y/o Male
Bear's intelligent and determined attitude make it clear why he's the team's golden boy. Bear is an easy member of the pack, and a true joy to be around.
From the beginning of his career, hes been a dog to note. He consistently finishes training runs and races with a tight tug and endless desire to run. As an experienced race leader, he'll be one dog you'll see at the head of the team this season! -
Gambit
YEARLING
Female
B Litter (Hop Jr. x Windshear)
The Childish Gambito is blowing us all away. Nobody ever expected the shy pup with a sunny personality to take a complete U-turn, but that she did. The biggest of the females from the B litter, Gambit is no slouch when it comes to hitting the trail hard. This speedy girl has legs, and boy does she know how to use them! Already taken with leading alongside an adult, shes ready to shine this season!
-
Bill The Dog
LEAD DOG
3y/o Male
A Litter: Owl Babies (Sike x Windshear)
Overstimulated is often a word we use to describe Bill, and once you meet him you see why. He’s more on par with a border collie than a sled dog, which brings a unique flare to the kennel we can’t imagine being without! While Bill has no interest in saying ‘Hi’ to people he doesn’t know, he is incredibly sweet with his inner circle, and is one of the most affectionate dogs on the team. He often shows his enthusiasm for life by jumping straight up and down in front of you, and were all stoked to have this spitfire on the team!
-
Otter
LEAD DOG
4y/o Female
Otter Pop is a fan favorite and its not hard to understand why! This quirky and sweet girl is the best of them. A complete beast on the trail, and a breeze at the kennel. This lovely lady can do no wrong, and she wouldn’t dream of it! She’s always ready for parades and presentations, eagerly pursuing her next cuddle victim. Just don’t ask her to bark, she doesn’t know how!
-
Rubicon
RETIRED LEAD DOG
8 y/o Female
First team princess, and then Queen for many years, this girl is the head of the crew. The first lead dog I trained, she was also the dog that taught me to be confident in my own ability to train and work dogs. She has a special place in our hearts, and is happily retired here at the kennel, and spends her days lounging in her favorite chair, making sure the other dogs mind their manners, and hiking in the hills. But don’t worry, she’s still as independent and feisty as she ever was, and very much in charge.
-
Mokie
TEAM MANAGER
17y/o Female
There is no Team Whiteout without this little spitfire! Mokie has been around longer than anyone, and has earned her place as team manager. Christina’s dog since she was 6, she might have hardest job of all; Keeping an eye on Christina and ensuring that the pesky sled dogs know their place!
-
Eddie
WORKING K9
2y/o Male
While you wont find Eddie man on the race trail, he has another job that’s just as important! Eddie is currently training for both explosives detection and personal protection work. He is as intense and serious about his job as the sled dogs are about hitting the trail, and we couldn’t be happier about having him on the team!
